STORM RUINED CONNECTICUT ANIMAL SHELTER FUNDRAISER!

On October 18, at the Roger Sherman Baldwin Park and with expectations of the normal 5000 to attend, shelter personnel and organizers were devastated when only about 100 people came. The storm was simply too bad for people to venture out in.
This festival normally raises around $60,000 from this event, the bulk of which comes from $5 to $10 admission prices for the Adopt-A-Dog day. This non-profit service group depends solely on tax-deductible donations and fundraiser proceeds to support its work.
Not only did they lose out on the normal income of $60,000+/-, but the shelter also lost the opportunity to 'show-case' their loving homeless dogs, each one hoping this was their day to meet their 'forever family' and find someone to care for them.
The internet community gives us immeasurable ways both to be blessed and to bless others: a powerful network system of similar-minded individuals, income opportunities abound and we can spread news at the click of a mouse!
If you can help by spreading the word or possibly sending a small donation, I'm sure they and those they care for would be so grateful. They did not ask for this post.
